It is a delight and great adventure to think and brew on three-dimensional projects with her. I pull frommy extensive history of original images in thread-on-fabric, reconfiguring and reassociating them through Photoshop before printing them on cotton paper in our codesigned templates. Jackie deconstructs the printed images and then reconnects them while she weaves; in this case, with copper wire.” Joining with Jackie in the effort to create three- dimensional vessels from my two-dimensional, layered f igurative work presented joy—and anticipation for the next project, the new idea that will follow. I wanted our work to communicate with our audience, to speak of connection and the discovery of friendship. All the clasped hands inherently say this.
