I wanted to let go of my nostalgia. “Home is a fragile thing. It is an off-balanced construction, an elephant stumbling on legs of a crane. Hanging by thin, silver wire links and chain, my interpretation of the concept and memory of home is expressed through an asymmetric, abstract wire drawing with a prong-set tourmaline and a rough aquamarine crystal.” Through my personal experience, I learned to appreciate how much it takes to create and keep a home, which I transferred into my art. I found a long-lost sense of relief and satisfaction when the piece was completed.
