Over the years, several close friends and family members, and neighbors of mine, have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, each is a survivor.” For those with cancer, surviving becomes their focus, along with maintaining whatever sense of well-being they can f ind. My heart and prayers went out to each of my friends, family, and neighbors during their illness. I felt proud this piece became a tribute to their struggle.
